Dubai Maritime Authority: A plan to launch initiatives supporting maritime operators, boats and yacht owners, and marine service companies

Representatives of the Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) held a workshop with a number of representatives of clubs and marinas in Dubai, during the authority’s participation in the activities of the Dubai International Boat Show, which started its 28th session at the Dubai International Boat Show 2022 in Dubai Harbor from 9th of March and will close by tomorrow evening.

Adel Kalantar, an expert in the Office of the Executive Director of DMCA, reviewed during the workshop a number of services and facilities provided by the authority in cooperation with the concerned authorities with the aim of facilitating the procedures required of the authority's customers, pointing to the authority's readiness to launch a number of initiatives during the coming period to support maritime operators beside boats and yachts owners and other maritime service companies.

During the workshop, which was attended by a number of representatives of clubs and marinas, including the Maritime Leisure Association, Kalantar explained that the Dubai Maritime City Authority seeks to expand the base of users of pleasure boats and yachts in the territorial waters of Dubai, pointing to the support of the Maritime Authority for the maritime sector in the Emirate of Dubai as a world-leading destination for maritime tourism.

During the workshop, Kalantar discussed the approaches that the Dubai Maritime City Authority is taking to support and develop the position of the maritime sector in Dubai and raise it among local and international forums, saying that the authority is preparing and implementing future plans that will develop and strengthen the maritime entertainment sector in Dubai.

Kalantar added: "We bear in mind the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which aims to make Dubai the best destination in the world to live in. From this standpoint, the Dubai Maritime City Authority is excreting its best effort to ensure Dubai continues to occupy the leadership positions in terms of supporting and developing the maritime sector and advancing it .
